My interest in astronomy began in high school under a creative science teacher. One of my projects was to literally build a six-inch reflector telescope.  I hand ground the mirror for the scope myself. The first time I ever looked through the telescope, I saw Jupiter and became even more interested. 25 years ago, I began attempts at astrophotography. These were the days before digital cameras, and I did not have much success. Now, years later with computerized telescopes and digital cameras, the process and the equipment are much more advanced.
